Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baqaei has strongly rejected Israeli claims that its military operations avoid civilian areas, calling the recent attacks on residential zones and medical facilities a “routine barbarity” and a “grave violation of international law”.

On Monday morning, Israeli missiles struck Farabi Hospital in the western city of Kermanshah, causing severe damage to the facility and injuring several patients. The attack also affected nearby buildings, with at least four explosions reported in the area.

Iranian media shared images of shattered glass, collapsed ceilings, and damaged intensive care units, while the Health Ministry confirmed that medical equipment was rendered inoperable.

Baqaei reported that 73 people were killed in recent strikes on Tehran, including 20 children in the Chamran residential complex. Ten more children remain trapped under rubble more than two days after the bombing.

The total death toll from Israeli attacks since June 13 has now reached 224, according to Iran’s Health Ministry, with the majority of victims being civilians.

Iranian officials have labeled the Israeli offensive a “crime against humanity”, accusing the United States of complicity in the strikes. Baqaei emphasized that targeting hospitals and residential areas constitutes a war crime, and warned that “eternal shame awaits the regime’s backers”.
